Cougars, Green Wave battle at Schroeder Park
HOUSTON – Houston Baseball continues its homestand and returns to American Athletic Conference play when it hosts Tulane for a three-game series beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday from Sanders Field at Schroeder Park.
Friday's middle game begins at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday's finale starts at 1 o'clock. Thursday marks the 96th all-time meeting and 33rd as co-members of The American between the long-time opponents.
Houston (21-12, 3-3 American) is looking to bounce back after dropping 2 of 3 at Cincinnati last weekend. The Cougars are in the midst of playing 19 of 23 games at home, a stretch which runs through April 24.
Tulane (23-10-1, 5-1 American) sits tied atop The American standings with UCF after taking 2 of 3 from South Florida one weekend ago. The Green Wave lead the league in hits (314) and runs (244) while ranking second in ERA (4.15).

Houston catcher Anthony Tulimero leads the league in caught stealing by (15) and is second in hits (46) and third in batting average (.365). Closer Ben Sears is second in conference in wins (5) and saves (6).
