Cougars to travel to Dallas for American Athletic Conference Championships
HOUSTON – Houston swimming & diving team heads to Dallas to fight for its sixth consecutive conference title in the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championships beginning Wednesday at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.
Under the new leadership of head coach Tanica Jamison, Houston looks to continue its title-winning streak this year in Dallas. The Cougars won their first of five consecutive American Conference titles in 2017.
"We are going to approach this meet as we would for any other meet," Jamison said. "The girls are having fun and are looking better each day. We are going to be ourselves, execute our individual race plans, and have fun."
The Cougars have demonstrated their dominance this season with impressive performances throughout the fall and leading into the spring schedule. Houston has come out on top against multiple opponents throughout the season including conference foes SMU and Tulane.
