Slisane goes undefeated in singles play

WACO, Texas – The University of Houston Tennis program concluded its weekend at the Baylor Invite earning a doubles victory along with three singles wins on Sunday inside the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.

Laura Slisane wrapped up the weekend undefeated in singles play following a victory over Baylor's Danielle Tuhten, 7-5, 6-3. Senior Sofia Chang saw action for the first time this fall season, earning the win against Washington State's Stefaniia Mikhailova in a tiebreaker with set scores of 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8).

Sophie Schouten rounded out singles action with a win against Washington State's Elyse Tse, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4).

In doubles action, Schouten and Elena Trencheva teamed up to defeat Washington State's Mikhailova and Tse, 6-2.
