Houston Soccer Begins Road Trip on Thursday

Cougars set out for pair of road games
HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (5-0-1) will travel across town to Holloway Field on Thursday to take on Rice at 7 p.m.
The Cougars set out to continue its win streak with its second away match of the season. This will be the first time back on the road after a win at McNeese early last month.
So far this season, Houston has seen its best start in program history. The Cougars have also seen American Athletic Conference weekly individual player awards, including this week's Goalkeeper of the Week Mikaela Gracia and honorable mention Nadia Kamassah who was listed on the Honor Roll.

SERIES HISTORY
Since 2001, Houston Soccer has faced Rice (5-0-1) 15 times resulting in a series record of 4-8-3. The last time the two teams went head to head was in March of this year. The Cougars came out on top at the Carl Lewis International Complex, 2-0 against the Owls. The win posted the largest margin of victory on the series record book.
UP NEXT
Houston will be on the road again on Sunday to head to Jackson State for a Noon match. The Cougars will be back at the Carl Lewis International Complex on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. to begin conference play against UCF.
