
Queen, Stewart-Vaughn Named to All-Conference Team

Redshirt seniors represent Cougars
HOUSTON – Redshirt seniors Sarah Queen and Lindsey Stewart-Vaughn were named to The American All-Conference team, the league announced Wednesday.
Queen was awarded with First-Team All-Conference honors, while Stewart-Vaughn was selected to the All-Conference Second Team. This marks the second postseason honor of Queen's career, who was a member of the All-Conference First Team in 2018, as Stewart-Vaughn received the first postseason accolade of her career.
With Queen and Stewart-Vaughn receiving their honors, Houston has now seen 13 student-athletes named to an All-Conference team under fifth-year Head Coach Kristin Vesely. The Cougars increase their mark to 25 All-Conference selections while members in The American and 73 total in the program's history.

QUEEN'S 2021 BREAKDOWN

- Finished the year in the top 10 in the league in batting average (8th, .319), hits (T6th, 23), home runs (T3rd, 6) and total bases (6th, 45) against conference opponents.
- Named to The American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll twice during league play, after launching a combined five home runs against Wichita State and Tulsa.
- Strung together a seven-game hitting streak in the middle of conference play, where she led the Cougars with a .500 batting average to go along with three home runs and a slugging percentage of 1.000.
- Blasted three home runs in the series against Tulsa, collecting a hit in every game of the series to combat a 1.167 slugging percentage.
- Helped lead the Cougars to the series win over ECU, recording a hit in all four games, which included a pair of multiple-hit outings.
- Opened the series against Memphis tying a career-high three hits, while scoring two runs in the process.

- A staple at the top of Houston's lineup, leading the team in hits (24) and RBIs (16) during conference play, both which ranked in the top 10 of the league.
- Tallied a team-best six multiple-hit games and five multiple-RBI games against conference opponents.
- Named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor after guiding the Cougars to a series win over ECU, where she led Houston with six hits and hit two home runs, as part of an eight-RBI weekend.
- Began conference action batting .385 with two multiple-hit games against UCF.
- Blasted a three-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh to seal the 6-3 win over Tulsa in game three of the series.
