Cougars conclude opening day of action in Austin
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program concluded its opening day of action at the Texas Invite with multiple personal best.
Due to inclement weather in the area the Women's Discus has been moved to tomorrow morning beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Devin Vallejo-Bannister and Brandon Seagreaves got things going for the Cougars, as Vallejo-Bannister recorded a personal-best in the 1500-meter. He paced the Cougars at 3:49.40 followed by Seagreaves at 3:55.42.
In the 5000-meter, Meredith Sorensen had a stellar day after shaving more than 30 seconds off her previous personal best in the event. The senior led the Cougars with a third-place finish at 17:13.11.
HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Limited tickets for Houston Track & Field will now be sold on a single-game, general admission basis while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to act quickly and purchase advanced single-game tickets prior to their arrival on campus due to limited availability.
All facilities and related spring sporting events will operate at 25 percent capacity of available seating throughout the remainder of the 2021 season.
