2018-19 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team
GRADUATE (2023)
- Gold medalist in the 800 meters at the American Indoor Championships for Houston’s second-straight title in the event.
- Won the mile at the Tyson Invitational with the third-fastest time in program history in 4:01.12.
- Posted a personal best 1:51.42 in the 800 at the American Indoor Championships – the ninth-fastest time in program history.
- Ran the anchor leg of the silver medaling Distance Medley Relay at the American Indoor Championships – Houston’s fourth fastest time in program history.
INDOOR
Helped the Cougars to a second-place finish in the DMR at the Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational... ran a lifetime best in the 3000m for fifth-place at the Charlie Thomas Invitational... ran a pair of lifetime best at the Tiger Paw Invitational, taking second-overall in the Mile and 20th in the 800m.
FRESHMAN (2018-19)
INDOOR
Finished seventh in the mile at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a time of 4:28.86 ... Finished 10th in the mile at the Charlie Thomas Invitational with a time of 4:20.97 ... Finished sixth in the mile at the Houston Invitational with a time of 4:19.07 ... posted a collegiate best time of 1:56.46 in the 800-meter run at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational... Finished 11th in the 1-mile run at The American Indoor Championships with a collegiate best time of 4:23.03.
OUTDOOR
Posted a 12th-place finish in the 1500-meter run at the Victor Lopez Classic... posted a collegiate best time of 4:01.10 in the 1500m at the Texas A&M Alumni Muster for sixth-place.
HIGH SCHOOL
Hold's the East Plano HS school record for cross country...Won the District 6 6A title in the mile run of the Panthers...Finished second at the Area meet and qualified for the 6A State Championship Meet.
PERSONAL
Son of Melissa Vallejo and Neal Bannister...Has three siblings, Alex, Zoe and Coooper Bannister...Enjoys art, music and skateboarding in his free time.
