Mykenzie Leehy and Ioanna Sacha Punch Tickets to NCAA Championships

Cougar seniors set for back-to-back NCAA appearances
HOUSTON – University of Houston seniors Mykenzie Leehy and Ioanna Sacha will highlight the 2021 NCAA Championships for the Cougars March 17-20 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Leehy and Sacha have qualified for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships for the second straight season. The duo is fresh off of the helping the Cougars win their fifth-consecutive conference title after combining for six individual titles. On the final day of action both Leehy and Sacha posted program records as the team scored a meet record 1,009 points.

Leehy is set to compete in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle, while Sacha will compete in the 200 Individual Medley, 100 Backstroke and 200 Backstroke.

Houston is the only team in The American with qualifiers for the NCAA Championships. Houston leads the NCAA in qualifiers from a non-major conference program for the third time in four years.
