Houston Gears Up for Busy Weekend at Texas Relays and Rice

Cougars split squad for weekend action in Austin and Houston
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program will split its squad for weekend action at the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and the Victor Lopez Invitational from March 25-27.
The Cougars will compete in Austin from March 25-27 and meet action can be viewed via the Longhorn Network. Meet information, including results and heat sheets can be found HERE. Meet information for the Victor Lopez Invitational can be found HERE.
The second week of outdoor track & field gets underway as Houston will again split it squad for weekend action. Houston will send a group of competitors to the Texas Relays that include Naomi Taylor and Shaun Maswanganyi. Taylor holds the fifth-fastest 110-meter hurdles time this season, as Maswananyi holds the second fastest 100-meter time in the NCAA this season. Antonio Ruiz, Travis Collins, Tristan Evelyn and Taylor Scaife return to action in Austin for the first time in over a year. Ruiz is set to compete in the Pole Vault Invitational as both Evelyn and Collins highlight a talented field of sprinters.
The Victor Lopez Invitational will be highlighted by a strong group of competitors from UH. Justice Henderson returns to action a week removed from a personal-best in the long jump at the Houston Spring Break Invitational. Madeline Castleberry looks to pace the Cougars in the distance after taking first-place in the 1500-meter in last week's opener.
HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Limited tickets for Houston Track & Field will now be sold on a single-game, general admission basis while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to act quickly and purchase advanced single-game tickets prior to their arrival on campus due to limited availability.
All facilities and related spring sporting events will operate at 25 percent capacity of available seating throughout the remainder of the 2021 season.
For fans wishing to attend any of these home events this spring, an exclusive pre-sale ticket offer will be made available to existing season ticket holders and donors prior to the general public on-sale which begins on Monday, March 15 at 9 a.m. CT.
Fans are encouraged to visit UHCougars.com/tickets to purchase available single-game tickets while supplies last.
