Normann Named The American Golfer of the Week

Freshman collects first weekly honor of collegiate career after seventh-place finish at Clover Cup
HOUSTON – University of Houston freshman Anne Normann was honored Wednesday as the American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week.
Normann posted a score of 4-under 212 to tie for seventh and lead the Cougars during the Clover Cup at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz., on March 12-14.
The Rungsted, Denmark, native opened the tournament with a 70 on the 6,184-yard, par-72 course and closed the three-day, 54-hole event with a 69 in a round that included four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 ninth hole.
This season, Normann ranks second among the Cougars with a 73.00 scoring average and has posted three rounds of par or better in eight total to date in her collegiate career.
This was the first weekly award of her collegiate career.
