Houston Heads to The American Championships

Cougars set to compete for conference titles in Wichita
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are set to compete in the American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the 4 Mile Creek Resort in Augusta, Kan.
On the men's side, the team placed second overall, scoring 41 points. Houston was led by Devin Vallejo-Bannister, who placed second in the 5K with a time of 16:08.90 followed by Gabriel Armijo who placed sixth, finishing with a time of 16:30.40. Devin Fahey rounded out the top-10 for UH, clocking in at 16:46.00 securing ninth place.

HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Due to limited seating and capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, Houston will not allow fans for the 2021 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season.

The women's 6K race is set to begin at 10 a.m. and the men's 8K race is set to begin at 10:50 a.m.
