Houston Remains Home for Weekend Action

Cougars return to action inside Yeoman Fieldhouse
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track and Field program returns to action on Feb. 28 at Yeoman Fieldhouse.
Meet action is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. and fans are encouraged to watch all the action on the Houston Track & Field Facebook. Meet results can be found HERE and Meet Information can be found HERE.
With the absence of a conference championship meet the Cougars are seeking NCAA Championships qualifying marks and times.
On the women's side Naomi Taylor holds the fastest time in The American in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.25. Camille Rutherford paces Houston in the 60-meter with the second fastest time in the league at 7.33. Cecilia Tamayo-Garza leads UH in the 200-meter with the second fastest time in the conference at 23.82. Zarie Dumas has had a stellar freshman season, entering the meet with the third fastest time in The American in the 400-meter. The UH throwers have had a great indoor season as Priscilla Adejokun anchors the Cougars in the Weight Throw with the second-best toss this season. Nu'uausala Tuilefano holds the third-best toss in the league in the Shot Put.
The Cougar men have continued to be a force in The American holding the seven fastest times in the league in the 60-meter. Six of the fastest times in the 200-meter belong to UH sprinters, as Tyrell Valentine holds the second-fastest time this season in the 400-meter. Christyan Sampy leads the league in the pole vault, having earn conference Field Athlete of the Week honors earlier this season. Jadon Brome and Triston Gibbons pace UH in the Triple Jump and Shot Put, respectively.
HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Due to limited seating and capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, Houston will not allow fans for the 2021 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season.
Fans are encouraged to watch all the Houston Track & Field home meets live on the team's Facebook Page free of charge.
