HOUSTON – Winners of its first two games to open the season, the University of Houston Men's Basketball program wraps up its homestand when it plays host to No. 25/25 Virginia at 7 p.m., Tuesday, inside the Fertitta Center.
Houston enters Tuesday's game following an impressive 79-46 win over Rice on Friday night inside the Fertitta Center. Junior guard Marcus Sasser led all players with 26 points and five assists for his fourth consecutive 20-point game dating back to the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
Sasser became the first Cougar to score 20+ points in four straight games since guard Rob Gray accomplished the feat in the final two games of the 2016-17 season and the first two games of the 2017-18 season.

Senior transfer guard Kyler Edwards has posted impressive numbers on both ends of the floor. With 14.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, the Arlington, Texas, native is the only player to rank among the American Athletic Conference's Top-10 leaders in both scoring and rebounding.
Edwards stands ninth in the league with his scoring average and is tied with Wichita State's Morris Udeze for sixth with his rebounding total.

After snaring a career-high 15 rebounds in the Cougars' season-opening win over Hofstra, the St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, native led all players with nine rebounds in Friday's win over Rice.
