Houston Soccer Returns Home After Three-Match Road Test

Cougars to host ECU in Houston Sunday
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer program (10-2-2, 2-0-1 AAC) will return to the Carl Lewis International Complex on Sunday for a Noon match against conference opponent ECU (6-7-1, 1-2-1 AAC).
Following three games on the road, the Cougars look to improve on its 7-0-1 home record. During the road trip, Houston added a tie to its overall season record in Tampa against USF and one loss in Fort Worth against TCU.
The Cougars also added its most recent win in Dallas against No. 15 SMU last Thursday. For the first time in program history, Houston defeated the Mustangs 1-0 on the road. This is the second time this season the Cougars have taken down a top 15-ranked opponent.
SERIES HISTORY
Houston looks to play on home turf against ECU on Sunday. The Cougars hold a series record of 5-9-1 against the Pirates. The last time the two teams went head to head took place in 2020 where Houston fell 0-1 in overtime in North Carolina. Sunday's game will be the 16th matchup between the Cougars and Pirates.
UP NEXT
Houston will be on the road again next Sunday traveling to Philadelphia to face Temple for an 11 a.m. match.
