Houston Ready to Face SMU on Thursday

Cougars meet Mustangs at 7 p.m., in Dallas in return to American Athletic Conference play
DALLAS – The University of Houston Soccer program returns to action at 7 p.m., Thursday, when it meets SMU inside Washburne Soccer & Track Stadium in American Athletic Conference play.
The Cougars (9-2-2 • 1-0-1 American) enter Thursday's game following a 3-1 loss at TCU on Sunday in their final non-conference match of the regular season. Senior forward Zionah Browne posted the Cougars' lone score against the Horned Frogs for her third straight match with a goal.
Thursday's match features two of the Top-Four teams in the league. Both the Cougars and the Mustangs are tied for third in The American with their 1-0-1 records in league play.
The Spring, Texas, native leads Houston with seven assists and 15 points in 2021.
Redshirt freshman forward Nadia Kamassah is tops on the team with seven goals, including a pair in the Cougars' win over Sam Houston State on Sept. 19.
Redshirt freshman Mikaela Garcia has started all but one match for the Cougars in goal, posting a 0.87 goals against average with 25 saves.
