Zionah Browne puts lone goal on the board in the 85th minute

HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (9-2-2, 1-0-1 ACC) traveled to TCU on Sunday where it fell 1-3 against the No. 10- ranked Horned Frogs (9-2-1, 1-1-1 Big XII). This is the Cougars' second loss of the season but first loss to a ranked opponent this fall.

In the 85^th minute of the match, graduate student Zionah Browne put Houston on the board with a shot to the low center of the goal. She was assisted by redshirt freshman Caitlyn Matthews.

The Cougars were able to hold the Horned Frogs scoreless throughout the duration of the first half. Following the conclusion of halftime, TCU scored its three goals between the 57^th and 81^st minutes to secure the match.

Houston recorded 15 shots compared to TCU's 13 with goalkeeper Mikaela Gracia recording three saves compared to their total of two.

UP NEXT
On Thursday, Houston will travel to SMU where it will take on its third American Athletic Conference opponent of the season at 7 p.m.

The Cougars will not be back at home until Oct. 10 where it will host ECU at the Carl Lewis International Complex for a Noon kickoff.
