Cougars head to American Athletic Conference Championships

Cross country teams head to Lakeland, Florida for AAC Championship
HOUSTON - The Houston men's and women's cross country teams head to Lakeland, Florida to compete in the American Athletic Conference Championship on Friday, Oct. 29.
The Championship will be held at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Florida. The men's 8K race will begin at 7 a.m. CT with the women starting the 6K at 7:50 a.m. CT. The award ceremony will follow at 8:40 a.m. CT.

The meet will be broadcast on ESPN+ with the men's 8K race map available here and the women's 6K race map available here.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougar concluded their regular season at the UAH Charge UC Invite as Darby Gauntt finished 10th overall in the women's 5K. It was the third consecutive week that Gauntt earned a spot in the top 10 in the 5K.
Devin Vallejo placed for the men, taking the 23rd spot of the 8K with a time of 24:33.84.
