Three-day, 54-hole tournament will air on GOLF Channel each afternoon
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Houston Women's Golf program returns to action when it tees off at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, beginning Monday morning at Blessings Golf Club
The Cougars will be part of a elite 10-team field, which includes Arizona, Illinois, Louisville, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA and host Arkansas.
Teams will play 18 holes each day through Wednesday on the 6,171-yard, par-72 course.
THE LINEUP
Under first-year Head Coach Lydia Gumm's leadership, the Cougars will be represented by junior First-Team All-American Karen Fredgaard, senior Maria Jose Martinez, senior Ariana Saenz, sophomore Delaney Martin and senior Annie Kim
Fredgaard leads the Cougars with a 70.00 scoring average and three rounds of par or better after tying for 15th at the season-opening Sam Golden Invitational with a score of 6-under 210 on Sept. 13-14.
Martinez, Saenz and Martin have each posted two rounds of par or better this season, including a 69 for Martinez in the Final Round of the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 27.

Following the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, the Cougars close out their fall schedule when they competes at the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 17-18 at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas.
From there, Houston will take its winter break before opening the spring season at the UCF Challenge on Feb. 6-8 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando.
