Dichiara scores lone goal for Cougars

HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (10-4-2, 2-2-1 AAC) fell to American Athletic Conference opponent Temple, 2-1, in Philadelphia on Sunday. The Cougars fought hard for 90 minutes but came up short by one goal.

Sophomore Madison Dichiara was able to put the Cougars on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal in the 86^th minute. The score was Dichiara's first goal of the season. Houston took 20 shots throughout the match, but was unsuccessful in getting another ball in the net to surpass Temple's (5-5-3, 2-3-0 AAC) two scores.

The Cougars have three matches left on the regular season schedule including two games at the Carl Lewis International Complex.

UP NEXT
Houston will host No. 1-ranked Memphis on Thursday at the Carl Lewis International Complex for a 7 p.m. match.
