Men’s Basketball Red-White Scrimmage Set for Oct. 30

Free event open to all fans inside Fertitta Center; Starting time to be announced soon
HOUSTON – University of Houston Men's Basketball fans can catch their first glimpses of the 2021-22 team as the Cougars prepare to host a Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 30, inside the Fertitta Center.
Starting time for the Red-White Scrimmage will be announced following the release of Houston Football's Oct. 30 kickoff time against SMU. Fans should stay tuned to UHCougars.com and Houston Athletics social media sites for the latest details.
Admission to the Red-White Scrimmage is free, and all fans are invited to attend.
ABOUT the COUGARS
Under the leadership of Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, the Cougars return seven lettermen and two starters from its 2020-21 team, which compiled a 28-4 overall record, captured the American Athletic Conference Tournament championship, advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the sixth time in school history and for the first time in nearly four decades and finished among the Top-Six in both final national polls.
Houston was recently picked as the American Athletic Conference preseason favorite for the third consecutive season. After an All-Conference performance a year ago, junior guard Marcus Sasser earned a place on the Preseason All-Conference First Team.

The Cougars recently revealed their 2021-22 schedule, which features 17 regular-season home games, including a Nov. 6 exhibition against Montana Tech, with nine American Athletic Conference contests inside the Fertitta Center.
