Houston Heads to College Station for Weekend Action

Cougars set for action at Texas A&M
HOUSTON - The University of Houston Track & Field program will travel to College Station on Saturday, Jan. 23 to compete in the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.
Houston is set to compete against Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU, Utah, and UTSA. Events are scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. The entire meet schedule can be found HERE. Heat sheets can be accessed by clicking HERE and live results HERE. The meet will be streamed live via SECN+.
WHAT TO KNOW
Houston opened its season on Jan. 16 inside Yeoman Fieldhouse at the H-TownSpeedCity Series. The Cougars won nine events and capped off the week by sweeping The American Men's Track & Field weekly honors.
Christyan Sampy will return to action after posting the fourth-best pole vault mark in program history last weekend. Sampy cleared 5.22m ( 17-01.50) for first-place in the event.
The Houston throwers will get return to the ring after posting a trio of podium finishes on Jan. 16.
Rachel Maciejeski will look to continue her strong start after opening her collegiate career with a third-place finish in the pole vault at the H-Town SpeedCity Meet.
In the sprints Zariere Dumas, Cecilia Tamayo-Garza, Sarah Belle and Iman Babineaux captured podium finishes on Jan. 16 and look to improve upon their season-opening times.
HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Due to limited seating and capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, Houston will not allow fans for the 2021 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season.
Fans are encouraged to watch all the Houston Track & Field home meets live on the team's Facebook Page free of charge.
