Cougars set for action on Sunday at HBU
HOUSTON - The University of Houston Cross Country program announced it 2021 schedule on Friday afternoon, highlighted by one regular-season meet in Houston.
The Cougars will compete in a triangular meet that will be hosted by HBU on Jan. 24. Lamar is also set to compete at the event. Spectators are welcome but must wear a mask and maintain social distance. The women's 5K is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the men's 5K at 2 p.m.
Houston will compete in the 2021 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Feb. 6 at the 4 Mile Creek Resort in Augusta, Kan.
Due to COVID-19 the NCAA will not host regional championships and student-athletes will instead advance directly from the conference championships to the NCAA Championships.
The 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Oklahoma State on March 15 at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Okla.
HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Due to limited seating and capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, Houston will not allow fans for the 2021 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season.
Fans are encouraged to watch all the Houston Track & Field home meets live on the team's Facebook Page free of charge.
