Former student-athletes stand out on opening weekend
HOUSTON – Several former Houston Football student-athletes made key contributions to their respective teams as the NFL season got underway last Thursday night.
Matthew Adams, LB | Indianapolis Colts
A limited number of single-game tickets and mini-plans are available for Houston home football games this season. Advanced single-game tickets begin at just $30.
In honor of coaching legend Bill Yeoman, UH Athletics is offering a three-game "Triple Option" mini-plan package (pick any three games) beginning at $90 and a two-game "Veer" mini-plan package starting at only $65 (pick any two games).

- The third-year Colts linebacker registered one tackle as the Colts fell, 27-20 to the Jaguars.
- Allen did not play in Washington's 27-17 win against Philadelphia.
- The outside linebacker had two tackles alongside a sack, tackle for loss and pass breakup as part of a dominant defensive performance in Baltimore's 38-6 win over Cleveland.

- Egbule saw action against the Bengals but did not log a tackle in a 16-13 win.
- The eight-year veteran notched six tackles as the Jaguars upended division rival Indianapolis, 27-20.
- The former first-round draft pick logged four tackles and broke up two passes but it wasn't enough as the Bengals fell 16-13 to the Chargers.

- Johnson opened his second season with three tackles as the Raiders outlasted the Panthers, 34-30.
- The 2020 third-round draft selection was inactive (ankle) for the Cardinals 24-20 victory against the 49ers.
- Keenum did not play in Cleveland's 38-6 loss to Baltimore.

- Oliver produced one tackle in the Bills' 27-17 win against the Jets.
- Member of practice squad.
- Roberts registered four tackles in his debut with Miami but the Dolphins stumbled 21-11 against the New England Patriots.
- Ward hauled in five receptions for 31 yards and returned a punt for eight yards as the Eagles fell, 27-17 to Washington.

- After re-signing a one-year contract in April, Wilson made a big splash on special teams by way of a 44-yard kickoff return in the Bengals loss to the Chargers.
