CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – The University of Houston Men's Golf program stood in 13^th following the Second Round of the Cabo Collegiate presented by CFO4Life at Cabo del Sol on Monday evening.

For the second straight day, the Cougars posted a score of 290 on the 6,807-yard, par-71 Cove Club course.

No. 14 Arizona moved into the team lead with through 36 holes with a score of 553 to finish three strokes ahead of No. 20 Vanderbilt. No. 9 Arizona State stood in third at 558, while No. 47 Florida State and No. 35 Stanford were tied for fourth at 559.

No. 25 Oklahoma State (561), No. 13 Baylor (561), No. 6 Texas A&M (562), No. 42 Alabama (563) and No. 50 Arkansas (565) rounded out the Top 10.

The tournament features an elite field with all but one of the 15 teams ranked among the nation's Top 50 with six in the Top 25.

Individually, Stanford's Barclay Brown, Baylor's Johnny Keefer and Arizona's Trevor Verbylo were tied for the lead at 7-under 135. Alabama's Canon Claycomb and Blake Wagoner of Arizona State were tied for fourth at 136.

Competing in his second collegiate tournament, freshman Austyn Reily fired Houston's low round of the day with a 70 on Monday and was tied for 27^th at 142. Starting his day off No. 16, Reily drained four birdies in his round and stood at 3-under for the day through 15 before enduring bogeys on his final two holes.

Junior Alexander Frances was tied for 62^nd at 149, while sophomore Braxton Watkins was tied for 65^th at 150. Junior Andrew Gibson was tied for 73^rd at 154.

The tournament concludes with the Final Round, beginning with a 9 a.m. (CST) shotgun start Tuesday.

PAIRINGS
For Tuesday's Final Round, Houston will play in groups with student-athletes from Rice and LSU.

Long begins his day off No. 14 with Cole (No. 15), Frances (No. 16), Watkins (No. 17) and Gibson (No. 18) following. Reily begins the Final Round off No. 15.

UP NEXT
Following the Cabo Collegiate, the Cougars will compete at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla., on March 16-17.

From there, the team will tee off at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., on April 4-5.
