Made his season debut at Rice Intercollegiate at Westwood Country Club in Houston... Tied for 26th with score of 152... Lowered his score with each round and capped the tournament with a Final-Round 71 to finish fifth at 217 at the Colin Montgomerie HBU Invitational at Augusta Pines Golf Club in Spring, Texas... Closed the N.I.T. with a 68 at Omni Tucson National Resort in Tucson, Ariz... Tied for 35th with score of 1-under 215... Fired a 66 in Second Round of Bayou City Collegiate Classic on way to 11th-place finish at Westwood Golf Club in Houston.
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019-20)
Competed in seven tournaments... Team leading in scoring average (70.71), round of par or better (15) and rounds in the 60s (8)... One of two Cougars to compete in starting lineup of all team-scoring tournaments. Fall – Made his Houston and season debut at the fall-opening Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas... Lowered his score with each round, including a 71 in the Final Round to tie for seventh at 217... Posted score of 3-under 210 to tie for 12th overall and tie for team lead at Trinity Forest Invitational at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas... Tied for 18th at Intercollegiate at Innisbrook with score of 216 at Innisbrook Golf Club... Fired a 69 in Second Round of that tournaent... Posted three straight rounds in the 60s, including a Final-Round 66, to lead the Cougars and finish third at the White Sands Invitational at 13-under 203 at Ocean Club in Nassau, Bahamas. Spring – Lowered his score with each round on way to 10th-place finish at All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas... Opened tournament with an even-par 72, followed with 71 and closed with 69 for score of 4-under-212.. Finished in a tie for fourth at Border Olympics at Max Mandel Golf Course in Laredo, Texas... Closed that tournament at 139 with a 68 in the Second Round... Tied for team lead with score of 215 to tie for 29th at Cabo Collegiate on Cove Club Course at Cabo del Sol. Summer – Captured championship at Arkansas Amateur Championship at Hot Springs Country Club (June 26-28)... Finished with 54-hole score of 11-under 211, including a First-Round 68, to finish behind Houston teammate Matt Cole.
JUNIOR (2018-19)
Sat out as a redshirt and did not compete. Summer: Advanced to US Amateur Championship sectional qualifying out of Westwood Golf Club in May... Finished seventh at the Monroe Invitational with a score of 284 at Monroe Golf Club... Posted 69s in Second and Final Rounds.
PRE-HOUSTON
Sophomore (2017-18): Competed at Chattanooga... All-Southern Conference selection... Started all 11 tournaments... Score counted 29 times in 32 rounds... Led team with 73.47 stroke average and par-5 scoring (4.80)... Played par or better on 76.9 percent of his holes... Earned three Top-10 finishes with a pair of Top-5s...
