Men’s Hoops Faces Alcorn State at Home Sunday

Cougars tip off vs. Braves at 3 p.m., inside the Fertitta Center
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men's Basketball program will meet Alcorn State at 3 p.m., Sunday, inside the Fertitta Center in a recent addition to the Cougars' 2020-21 schedule.
The Cougars are 5-0 against Alcorn State during the series history with four home wins. This will be the first time Houston has faced Alcorn State on the hardwood since an 89-58 win inside Hofheinz Pavilion on Dec. 9, 2013.
The sixth-ranked Cougars have not played since a 77-67 win over South Carolina in the Fertitta Center on Dec. 5 pushed their record to 4-0.
Houston paused all team-related activities on Dec. 8 following COVID-19 issues. The Cougars postponed Dec. 9 and Dec. 12 home games against Sam Houston State and Rice, respectively, and canceled a Saturday, Dec. 19, showdown at Alabama.
The Cougars were cleared to return to team workouts on Tuesday afternoon.
