Seating capacity reduced to 25 percent for 2020-21 season
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men's Basketball program has sold out of its ticket allotment for home games in Fertitta Center during the 2020-21 season.
Based on guidance from state and local health officials and University leadership, Fertitta Center capacity was reduced to approximately 25 percent to maintain social distancing for the 2020-21 season. This reduced capacity model allows Houston Athletics to provide fans appropriate distancing during attendance at games.
Priority of seating inside the Fertitta Center was given to season ticket holders first. Houston Athletics expects that single-game ticket sales will not be available for the 2020-21 season.
"In these challenging times, we are grateful for the support our fans have shown to Coach Sampson and the Men's Basketball program," Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman said. "I, along with our student-athletes, coaches, and staff are thankful for our fan base's continued dedication to our program during this unique time, and we look forward to having them back inside the Fertitta Center for this upcoming season."
In an effort to better protect coaches and student-athletes from both teams while adhering to NCAA and American Athletic Conference guidelines, the team bench areas have been flipped inside the Fertitta Center.
