Chitdara Wins King Daddy Fall Circuit

Senior claims title after sweeping championship round
HOUSTON – University of Houston Tennis senior Phonexay Chitdara won the King Daddy Fall Circuit on Sunday, Oct. 25, sweeping her way to the title with scores of 6-0, 6-0 in the finals.
Chitdara ended the event the same way she began it, by shutting out her opponent. In the finals, she took down Ashley Penshorn, an ITA Division II All-American for St. Mary's.
The event marked Chitdara's first tournament back in the United States since March 7th, when the Cougars' 2019-20 season was cut short due to COVID-19. Chitdara finished the 2019-20 campaign with a 10-2 record in singles play, while complying an 8-3 mark in doubles.
