Four Houston Alums Set for NFL Playoffs

Ed Oliver, Elandon Roberts, Greg Ward Jr. set for Wild Card Round; Tyus Bowser enjoys bye
HOUSTON -- With the conclusion of the 2019 NFL regular season, Houston Football alums Tyus Bowser, Ed Oliver, Elandon Roberts and Greg Ward Jr. get set for the playoffs.
Oliver returns home to Houston for his first NFL playoff game, as the Buffalo Bills open the postseason schedule at the Texans on Saturday in the first AFC Wild Card matchup of the day. Kickoff is set for 3:35 p.m. CT from NRG Stadium and will air on ESPN and ABC.
The second AFC Wild Card game sees the four-year veteran Roberts and the AFC East Division Champion New England Patriots host the Tennessee Titans at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., in a 7:15 p.m. CT kickoff airing on CBS.
On Sunday, Ward Jr. makes his NFL playoff debut with the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFC East Division Champion hosts the Seattle Seahawks at Lincoln Financial Field at 3:40 p.m. CT. That game will air on NBC.
Meanwhile, Bowser and the Baltimore Ravens will enjoy a first-round bye. The AFC North Division Champions clinched home-field advantage as the No. 1 seed for the first time in franchise history and will host the winner of Buffalo and Houston at 7:15 p.m. CT on Jan. 11 on CBS in the Divisional Round.
