Houston Opens Road Swing at USF

Game to be aired on The American Digital Network
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball team will open a two-game road swing on the road at USF. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday at the Yuengling Center.

GAME NOTES
COUGAR FAST BREAK
• Houston enters Wednesday's game with a 10-10 overall record this season, including a 3-3 mark in conference play. The Cougars have won two straight at homes, most recently defeating Wichita State in overtime.
• Houston has four players averaging double-digits this season led by Dorian Branch and Tatyana Hill with 11.8 points per game, they are followed by Dymond Gladney who contributes 11.5 points per game followed by Julia Blackshell-Fair providing 10.8 points per game.
• Houston is averaging 64.7 points per game on 39.6 percent shooting from the field and a 26.3 percent mark from beyond the 3-point line. The Cougars allow 67.8 points per game on defense while letting opponents shoot 41.9 percent and 31.4 percent from the field and beyond the arc, respectively.
• Hill leads Houston on the glass, pulling down 6.4 rebounds per contest.
• Houston is a force to be reckoned with on the boards this season, averaging 37.6 rebounds per game including over 15 offensive boards per game.
• Houston forces 17.7 turnovers per game, with 15 or more forced turnovers in 17 of its 20 games this season. Under Coach Hughey, Houston has been one of the most active defensive teams in the country over the past two seasons. The Cougars are experts at protecting the rim, entering the game ranked 98th nationally in blocks (71) and 131st in Blocks Per Game (3.6).
