Cougars meet Bulls at 1 p.m., after come-from-behind win over UConn on Thursday
HOUSTON – Fresh off a thrilling, come-from-behind victory, the University of Houston Men's Basketball team returns to program when it plays host to American Athletic Conference rival USF at 1 p.m., Sunday, inside the Fertitta Center.
No. 25/24 Houston enters this weekend's game following a 63-59 win over UConn on Thursday in Houston. Trailing 50-44 with less than five minutes remaining, the Cougars outscored the Huskies 19-9 for the rest of the way to seize a 63-59 win.
It was Houston's fourth straight win against the Huskies and the seventh in the last eight games. Houston also maintained its place atop The American standings, tying with Tulsa at 5-1.
Redshirt freshman guard Caleb Mills led all players with 20 points, while junior point guard DeJon Jarreau flirted with a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. The Houston duo combined to scored the Cougars' last 28 points during the final 11:41 of the game.
With his scoring effort, Mills moved into the team's scoring lead with 13.0 points per game. Guard Rob Williams is the only Cougar freshman to lead the team in scoring for a season with 16.3 points per game in 1979-80.
Jarreau recorded his second double-double of the season after finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds in Houston's win at No. 16/16 Wichita State on Jan. 18. The New Orleans native leads the Cougars with 3.7 assists per game.

Fans are invited to join with Sampson and his staff as they wear sneakers for both home game this week during Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Week.
By wearing sneakers, Sampson and the Cougars hope to raise awareness and funds while encouraging fans to educate themselves about cancer prevention.
This season, Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers games will support childhood cancer research, services and awareness as well as promote cancer prevention efforts targeting children.
