Houston Unveils 2019-20 Conference Schedule

Cougars to play eight home games inside the Fertitta Center
HOUSTON – The Houston Women's Basketball team unveiled its 2019-20 conference schedule Thursday afternoon, highlighted by eight games inside the Fertitta Center.
The American Athletic Conference schedule features three games against NCAA Tournament teams and six nationally televised contests, along with three games to be aired on The American Digital Network.
Houston will open its conference slate with a pair of home contests, as it welcomes Memphis to the Fertitta Center at 7 p.m., Jan. 5 on ESPN, followed by a meeting with Temple Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
The Cougars will face UConn at noon Jan. 11 at the XL Center in Storrs, Conn., before returning to the Fertitta Center for a 2 p.m. meeting with ECU on Jan. 19. Houston will play its first of two matches against Cincinnati on the road when the team travels to Fifth Third Arena on Jan. 22 with tip-off slated for 6 p.m. before returning home to face Wichita State at 2 p.m. on Jan. 25. Each of those contests will be aired on ESPN3.
The Cougars will close out the month of January on the road at USF at 6 p.m. on Jan. 29. The game will be streamed live on The American Digital Network.
February will feature four games inside the Fertitta Center. On Feb. 1, Houston will head to Tulane, before returning home to face in-state rival SMU at 7 p.m., Feb. 5. The Cougars will travel to Greensville, N.C., on Feb. 8 for its second meeting with ECU with tip-off slated for noon.
UCF will make its lone trip of the season to Houston when the Knights visit the Fertitta Center at 7 p.m. on Feb. 12.
Houston will be featured on back-to-back American Digital Network broadcasts when the squad visits Temple on Feb. 15, before returning to Houston for its second meeting of the season with Cincinnati on Feb. 18.
The Cougars will play two of their last three regular-season contests on the road, beginning with a trip to North Texas to visit SMU at 2 p.m. on Feb. 22. Houston will honor its senior class on Feb. 29 when it faces UConn at 2 p.m., Feb. 29 before concluding the 2019-20 regular-season at Tulsa at 7 p.m on March 2.
