Elena Tairyan and Jovana Vukovic went 2-1 in doubles on the weekend

NATCHITOCHES, La. - Houston Tennis wrapped up the first tournament of the 2019 fall season with three wins on the final day of the Lady Demon Invitational, on Saturday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Tairyan and Vukovic competed in the Purple Singles and Doubles Draw on Friday and Saturday.
As a doubles pair, Tairyan and Vukovic finished in fifth place and went 2-1 on the weekend, tallying their two wins on the final day of competition.
On the singles court, Tairyan finished in third place, going 1-2 on the weekend and Vukovic finished in seventh place, also going 1-2 on the weekend.

Purple Singles Draw - First Round
Putri Insani (Southeastern Louisiana) def. Elena Tairyan (Houston), 6-3, 6-2.
Pati Polanska (Northwestern State) def. Jovana Vukovic (Houston), 7-6 (0), 6-0.

Consolation Semifinals
Floriane Picaut (Louisiana Lafayette) def. Elena Tairyan (Houston), 6-4, 6-4.
Yu Yue (Tyler Junior College) def. Jovana Vukovic (Houston), 6-2, 6-4.

Final
Third place: Elena Tairyan (Houston) def. Patrycja Polanska (Northwestern State) 7-5, 6-2.
Seventh place: Jovana Vukovic (Houston) def. Putri Insani (Southern Louisiana) 6-4, 1-6, 10-7.

Purple Doubles Draw - First Round
Ema Dancetovic/Ela Iwaniuk (Northwestern State) def. Vukovic/Tairyan (Houston), 6-1.

Consolation Semifinals
Vukovic/Tairyan (Houston) def. Radovanovic/Perez (Lousiana Lafayette) 6-2.

Final
Fifth Place: Vukovic/Tairyan (Houston) def. Devier/Chan (Tyler Junior College) 6-3.
