Cougars send two to compete at Northwestern State
HOUSTON – Houston Tennis officially kicks off fall play at the Lady Demon Invitational at Northwestern State across Sep. 13-14.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Cougars will send two student-athletes to compete on the weekend with sophomores Elena Tairyan and Jovana Vukovic.
- Singles action will open Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., when Tairyan takes on Putri Isani of Southeastern Louisiana and Vukovic takes on Pati Polanska of Northwestern State.
- On the doubles court, Tairyan and Vukovic will make their 2019 pairs debut when they take on duo Emilija Dancetovic and Ela Iwaniuk of Northwestern State at 4 p.m., Friday afternoon.
- Tairyan and Vukovic posted a 2-0 overall doubles record in the 2018-19 season.
