Houston Heads to Florence

Cougars leave Rome after three days, stop for lunch in Siena… Returns to action at 1:30 p.m. (CDT) Monday
FLORENCE, Italy – The University of Houston Men's Basketball program continued its tour of Italy, traveling to Florence on Sunday afternoon.
After spending three days in Rome with visits to The Vatican, Roman Forum and Colosseum as well as a dominating 68-32 win over the Roseto Sharks, the Cougars left The Eternal City on Sunday morning by bus for their trip to Florence.
Following about three hours on the road, the Cougars visited Siena where they walked around the city and enjoyed lunch before returning to the bus for their final leg.
The team checked into the Star Hotel Michelangelo and enjoyed a team meal together before traveling to Pala Coverciano for a 90-minute practice under two-time, defending American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Kelvin Sampson.
After that workout, the Cougars returned to their hotel and cleaned up before enjoying a team dinner at a local restaurant.

The Cougars resumes their competition schedule when they face BC Silute of Lithuania at 1:30 p.m. (CDT), Monday, inside Palazzetto Sandro Pertini in Ponte Buggianese, Italy.
