Trio of Cougars Tabbed for Pan-American Games

Cougar alums named to 96-man USATF Roster
HOUSTON – University of Houston track & field alums Amere Lattin, Chris Carter and Trumaine Jefferson  was named to the USATF roster for the 2019 Pan American Games taking place July 26- Aug. 11 in Lima, Peru.

USATF announced its 96-athlete roster for the 2019 Pan America games highlighted by three Houston alums. The meet will take place July 26- Aug. 11, with track & field events taking place Aug. 6-11 in the Athletics Stadium in the Villa Deportiva Nacional Videna cluster. The full schedule can be found HERE.

Pan American games feature 39 sports and across more than 60 disciplines. The event will welcome 6,680 athletes from 41-member nations apart of the Pan-American Sports Organization. The 2015 squad completed the country's most successful Pan American games performance since 1999, collecting 41 medals. The full squad for the games can be found HERE.
