Trio of Cougars Tabbed for Pan-American Games

Cougar alums named to 96-man USATF Roster
HOUSTON – University of Houston track & field alums Amere Lattin, Chris Carter and Trumaine Jefferson  was named to the USATF roster for the 2019 Pan American Games taking place July 26- Aug. 11 in Lima, Peru.

USATF announced its 96-athlete roster for the 2019 Pan America games highlighted by three Houston alums. The meet will take place July 26- Aug. 11, with track & field events taking place Aug. 6-11 in the Athletics Stadium in the Villa Deportiva Nacional Videna cluster. Pan American games feature 39 sports and across more than 60 disciplines. The event will welcome 6,680 athletes from 41-member nations apart of the Pan-American Sports Organization. The 2015 squad completed the country's most successful Pan American games performance since 1999, collecting 41 medals. The full squad for the games can be found HERE.
