Houston Men Improve to No. 5 in Outdoor Rankings

Cougars are fresh off a successful weekend of action in Houston and California
HOUSTON – Fresh off of successful weekend of action at both the Mt. Sac Relays and the J. Fred Duckett Invitational, the Houston men improve to No. 5 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national outdoor rankings on Monday.

The Cougars have been ranked in the last five outdoor track & field polls dating back to the preseason, as well as each of the eight indoor track & field polls for the 2018-19 season.

This past weekend the Cougars posted 15 top-five finishes between the Mt. Sac Relays and J. Fred Duckett Invitational. Felipe Valencia, Cameron Laverty and Jordan Booker each walked away with top honors this past weekend.

Houston will return to action this week at both the Penn Relays and the Drake Relays. Action will begin at the Penn Relays on April 25 and at the Drake Relays the following day on April 26.
