Zach Vaughan Named to Hampshire Society

Four-time member of Dean’s List named to National Football Foundation’s academic list
HOUSTON – Houston's Zach Vaughan, who completed his player career in December's Armed Forces Bowl, was named to the National Football Foundation's (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday.
Membership is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.
Vaughan, who received a bachelor of management last May from the nationally recognized C.T. Bauer College of Business, is a four-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team selection and a four-time member of the University of Houston Dean's List.
The defensive end was a Campbell Trophy semifinalist, presented annually to the nation's top football scholar-athlete, in 2018.
A four-year letterwinner for Houston, Vaughan saw action in 47 career games after joining the program in 2015. He ended his career with 22 total tackles including 2.5 tackles for loss.
The NFF Hampshire Honor Society capitalizes on the NFF's current National Scholar-Athlete program by greatly expanding the number of scholar-athletes the NFF can recognize each year. Jon F. Hanson, the chairman and founder of The Hampshire Companies and NFF Chairman Emeritus, provided the endowment to launch the NFF Hampshire Honor Society in 2007. Celebrating its 13th year in 2019, the initiative has previously honored 9,017 student-athletes since its inception.
