Lattin Named American Athlete OTW Once Again

Senior sprinter/hurdler claims back-to-back honors
HOUSTON - Senior Amere Lattin earned The American Athletic Conference's Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row, the league announced Tuesday.Â

One week after running the nation's fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles, Lattin claimed the top spot in the 110-meter hurdles at the Victor Lopez Classic with a time of 13.70, clocking the nation's No. 3 time.

Lattin also ran the opening leg of one Houston's two 4x400-meter relays, finishing second behind the other relay with a time of 3:10.63, which ranks 16th nationally and would rank second in The American.
For Houston, the award is the second of the outdoor slate, second in a row for Lattin and the 13th total American award of the season.
UP NEXT
Houston returns to action for its first four-day meet of the outdoor season, when they head to the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The meet in Austin will be held across March 27-30.
