Corey Davis Jr. receives First-Team honors, Armoni Brooks named to Second Team
HOUSTON – Postseason honors continued to come in Thursday for the University of Houston Men's Basketball program as guards Corey Davis Jr. and Armoni Brooks were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 25 Team.
Davis was named to the District's First Team, while Brooks collected Second-Team honors.

Davis has been a leader for the Cougars throughout his senior season. The Lafayette, La., native leads Houston with 16.7 points per game and is one of Houston's and the league's most prolific 3-pointers, draining 100 treys in 264 attempts.
With his trey total in 2018-19, Davis joined Robert McKiver as the only Cougars to post multiple seasons with 100+ 3-point field goals during their careers
He has enjoyed 12 20-point games to date this season and scored a career-high 31 points with six assists in Houston's 85-69 win at No. 20/19 Cincinnati on March 10 in the regular-season finale. That win clinched the Cougars' first outright regular-season conference championship since 1984.
Davis recently moved past 1,000 points in his Houston career, becoming the 48th Cougar in school history to reach that milestone
This season, Davis has been named to the All-America Athletic Conference First Team and USBWA District VII team and was named to The American Championship All-Tournament Team for the second straight season.

Like Davis, Brooks is an offensive weapon from long range. With 112 3-pointers this season, Brooks became only the sixth player in school history to drain 100+ treys in a single season and, with 200 in his career, he is only the fifth player to reach 200+.
However, Brooks also leads the Cougars with 6.5 rebounds per contest and is one of only two players to rank among The American's Top-15 leaders in both scoring AND rebounding.
He was named to the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team earlier this month.
Both Davis and Brooks will finish their careers among the Cougars' Top-10 leaders in 3-poitn field goals, 3-point field goals attempts and consecutive games with a 3-point field goal.
Shizz Alston Jr. (Temple), Jeremiah Martin (Memphis), B.J. Taylor (UCG) and Jarron Cumberland (Cincinnati) joined Davis on the First Team while Markis McDuffie (Wichita State), Laquincy Rideau (USF), Jalen Adams (UConn) and Jayden Gardner (ECU) joined Brooks on the Second Team.
The teams were selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I.
