MESA, Ariz. – University of Houston senior All-American Leonie Harm continued to keep her place in the Top Five at the Clover Cup as her Saturday score of 75 left her in a tie for third with 146 at the conclusion of the second round at Longbow Golf Club.
As a team, the Cougars ended the Second Round in fifth on the 6,184-yard, par-72 course, after shooting a 300, the second-best team round of the day.
The reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Harm battled two early double bogeys on her front-nine before enjoying three consecutive birdies on Nos. 8-10. Two more bogeys on No. 14 and 16 had the Gerlingen, Germany, native at 4-over, but she was able to rebound once again and birdie her final hole of the day once again to finish 3-over 75.
Kentucky's Leonie Bettel continues to hold the lead after firing a 74 for a total score of 141. Jennifer Chang (USC) trails her with 144 while Libby Winans (Oklahoma) and Emma Albrecht (Notre Dame) finished tied with Harm with 146.
Competing as an individual, freshman Maria Jose Martinez was tied for 12th with 149, while junior Amanda Elich shot her second 75 of the tournament to tie for 15th at 150.
Freshman Hannah Screen was tied for 25th at 152 after a 75 on Saturday, while senior Maddy Rayner was tied for 54th at 158, also shooting 75 Saturday. Senior Tatiana Pineda was tied for 82nd at 170.
USC held the team lead at 585 to stand 13 strokes ahead Oklahoma. Kentucky (599) and Mississippi State (603). Notre Dame (609), Kansas State (611), Mercer (615), Wisconsin (620) and Nebraska (622) rounded out the Top-Ten.

THIRD-ROUND PAIRINGS
The Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from Mississippi State and Notre Dame, beginning at 10 a.m. (CDT), Sunday.
Sunday's 10 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start will see Harm tee off No. 4 at. Screen will tee off at No. 5 with Elich in the second group off No. 5, Pineda will be with the first group off No. 6 and Rayner will follow with the second group off No. 6.
UP NEXT
Following the Clover Cup, the Cougars will travel to Tucson, Ariz., to compete in the Mountainview Collegiate on March 22-24 at the Preserve at Saddle Brooke.
From there, the team will compete in the Bruzzy Challenge at Lantana Golf Club in Dallas on April 1-2.
