Davis Named Slugger Award Player of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas -- University of Houston senior first baseman Joe Davis was named Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week, the association announced on Wednesday afternoon.
In the fourth week of the regular season, Davis turned in a .625/.625/1.062 slash across a midweek bout against Rice and three-game series against Army at Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. The Austin native finished 10-for-16 with one double, two home runs, eight RBI and two runs scored.

• March 5 vs. Rice | 1-4
• March 8 vs. Army | 3-4, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 R
• March 9 vs. Army | 2-3, 1 2B
• March 10 vs. Army | 4-5, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 1 R
Davis was also named on Monday as The American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his efforts.

The Cougars play their first true road games of the season with a three-game series at Dallas Baptist starting Friday.
PARKING IN 2019
Gameday parking is offered in a different capacity than in prior years. Anyone entering Lot 16B (across the street from right field) will be subjected to paying a third party company employed by campus. This lot will no longer be an option for free parking on gamedays. All other lots surrounding the stadium will be free of charge two hours prior to first pitch.
