Davis garners first Houston player honor of 2019; Roedahl named to Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- University of Houston senior first baseman Joe Davis was named The American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
In the fourth week of the regular season, Davis turned in a .625/.625/1.062 slash across a midweek bout against Rice and three-game series against Army at Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. The Austin native finished 10-for-16 with one double, two home runs, eight RBI and two runs scored.

Davis was previously named to The American Weekly Honor Roll after the second week of the season. Across four games (McNeese, series vs. Arizona), he went 6-for-17 with two doubles, three home runs, three walks, seven RBI and four runs scored.
In addition to Davis' accolade, junior right-handed pitcher Devon Roedahl was named to The American Weekly Honor Roll.
Roedahl bookended the Army series with a save and win out of the bullpen. He limited the Black Knights to three hits with one walk and five strikeouts across four scoreless innings.

The Cougars close their five-game homestand with a 6:30 p.m., Tuesday matchup with UTSA. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
PARKING IN 2019
Gameday parking is offered in a different capacity than in prior years. Anyone entering Lot 16B (across the street from right field) will be subjected to paying a third party company employed by campus. This lot will no longer be an option for free parking on gamedays. All other lots surrounding the stadium will be free of charge two hours prior to first pitch.
