Houston Travels to Face UTRGV

The Cougars take on the Vaqueros on Saturday
HOUSTON – The Houston Women's Tennis team is on the road for the second time in two weeks, facing the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros at their home courts in Edinburg, Texas. First serve is set at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Last week, Houston fell in hard-fought match against #16 LSU on the road. The Tigers are the third Southeastern Conference face-off for the Cougars this season.
ABOUT THE VAQUEROS
UTRGV welcomes Houston on Saturday with a 2-6 record, falling to #21 ranked Texas A&m in their last match, 4-0. The Vaqueros are led by Senior Dominique Ibarra, who leads the team at Flight 1 holding a 2-0 singles record this season with three unfinished matches. In doubles, she carries a 2-1 record for the season.
UP NEXT FOR HOUSTON
The Cougars will host their second American Athletic Conference match against SMU at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9th. The next day, they will face Prairie View A&M twice for a double-header at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Barbara Wallace Winston Tennis Facility.
