The Cougars fall against the Tigers on the road, 7-0
HOUSTON – The Houston Women's Tennis Team traveled to Baton Rouge on Sunday, where they fell to No. 16 LSU, 7-0.
The Tigers got an early start in the match, securing the doubles point at Flights 2 and 3. aylor Bridges and Paris Corley topped Elena Tairyan and Stephanie Belovukovic on Court 3, 6-0. Minutes later, Sophie Gerits and Phonexay Chitdara fell for the first time in the season, 6-2. The two Belgians hold a 5-1 record in doubles.
In singles, Mimi Kendall-Woseley was the first to fall against Bridges at Court 2, 6-4, 6-0. At Flight 1, Ndindi Ndunda faced nationally ranked No. 18 Eden Richardson, falling 6-4, 6-2.
Belovukovic battled Anna Loughlan at Court 6, eventually falling in a tight 6-4, 7-5 match, clinching the match for the Tigers.
