Houston Tennis Announces 2020 Schedule

Cougars to host 18 matches inside Winston Tennis Facility
HOUSTON - University of Houston Tennis head coach Helena Besovic unveiled the 2020 schedule on Thursday, which features 18 matches at the Winston Tennis Facility.

"We are very excited for the upcoming spring season. Our schedule will bring us many opportunities to challenge ourselves and play with some of the best teams in the nation." said Besovic. "We are looking to continue improving and climbing the rankings."
ON THE CALENDAR
Houston will open the regular season on Jan. 19 when it heads to College Station, Texas to take on Texas A&M. Following the matchup with the Aggies, the Cougars will kick off a 14-game homestand beginning on Jan. 31 when they take on McNeese before facing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Feb. 2.
Continuing play inside the Winston Tennis Facility, Houston is set to take on Colorado on Feb. 7 and Northwestern State on Feb. 9. The Cougars will then host a doubleheader on Feb. 15 against Southern and Stephen F. Austin.
Houston will first face Brown on Feb. 17 before taking on SEC opponent LSU on Feb. 21, followed by Texas State on Feb. 23. The Cougars will wrap February when it takes on in-state competitor UT Arlington on Feb. 28.
Houston opens March with a doubleheader featuring their first American Athletic Conference opponent in UConn, followed by UTSA on March 1. The Cougars will wrap up the homestand with a doubleheader on March 7, where they are set to take on BYU and UTRGV.
Kicking off a three-match road swing in the Sunshine State, The Cougars will first take on Florida International on March 10, followed by USF on March 14 and Florida Atlantic on March 15.
Houston will return home for a brief stint, where it will face Washington State on March 17 and wrap up the month on March 29, with a doubleheader where it will take on Tulane and Prairie View A&M.
The Cougars will open April and hit the road to face Wichita State on April 4, before heading back to Houston to take on New Mexico State on April 10. The Cougars will wrap the regular season when they travel cross-town to face Rice on April 11.
