JUDGE ROY HOFHEINZ WALL
Following the statue dedication, members of the Hofheinz Family joined UH administrators at the Judge Roy Hofheinz Wall on the Fertitta Center concourse near Section 107.
Hofheinz Pavilion was named in honor of Hofheinz, the Texas state representative, Harris County judge, city of Houston Mayor and entrepreneur who gained acclaim for conceiving and spearheading the construction of the Astrodome.
Hofheinz and his wife, Irene, met as students at the University of Houston in 1929. They later created the Judge Roy Hofheinz Foundation, which contributed $1.5 million toward the construction of the Pavilion.
