Cougars set to host 16 regular-season games inside Fertitta Center
HOUSTON – As University of Houston Men's Basketball prepares for the start of the 2019-20 season, fans will enjoy new gameday initiatives inside the Fertitta Center.
The Cougars will play 16 regular-season games inside the Fertitta Center this season, beginning at 7 p.m., Tuesday against Alabama State.
DIGITAL TICKETING
Houston Athletics will soon offer improved digital ticketing, giving fans the opportunity to manage their tickets from their smart phones.
Beginning with the American Athletic Conference season in January 2020, fans who sign up will receive a valid barcode 48 hours in advance of games. From there, fans can present the barcode on their phones at the Fertitta Center doors for admission.
This new system will help reduce risk of lost, stolen and counterfeit tickets, shorten Will Call lines and prevent lost tickets in the mail. For more information about the new digital ticketing, fans should click here.
BUY SINGLE-GAME TICKETS
Single-game tickets for the University of Houston Men's Basketball program's 2019-20 season are on sale now, and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets soon before all are gone.
The Cougars have already sold out of 2019-20 season tickets, a first since 1998-99.
Fans still have opportunities to see the Cougars in action inside the Fertitta Center. Fans can purchase single-game tickets at the Houston Athletics Ticket Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and any time at uhcougars.com/tickets.
Fans who were unable to purchase season tickets can get a head start for the 2020-21 season by placing their names on the Priority Waiting List for only a $50 deposit. To reserve places on the Priority Waiting List, fans can register by clicking here and following the appropriate links from the right column, beginning at 10 a.m., Oct. 14.
CASH PARKING LOTS
All major credit cards will be accepted at all Cash Parking lots for Houston Men's Basketball games in 2019-20. For more information about Basketball Gameday parking, fans can click here.
COOGS for the COMMUNITY
Season-ticket holders and local businesses have the opportunity to support our local community by underwriting the cost of game tickets to be awarded to local non-profit charity partners of Houston Athletics.
Houston Athletics is proud to partner with local non-profit children's charity organizations and military groups, which provide valuable resources and services to the Houston community.

JUDGE ROY HOFHEINZ STATUE
Fans walking into the Fertitta Center on the Holman Street side will see a new highlight on the building's exterior. The statue will be dedicated in the near future.
A statue of Judge Roy Hofheinz is now located at the top of the tunnel leading to the Fertitta Center Club entrance in early November. Created by Bobby Harness, the statue stands 9 feet tall and weighs 750 pounds and was installed by TYart.
Hofheinz was a judge, city of Houston and state of Texas politician and entrepreneur, who gained acclaim for conceiving and spearheading the city of Houston's construction of the Houston Astrodome. He his wife, Irene, met as students at the University of Houston in 1929.
CUE AUDIO LIVE PREGAME LIGHT SHOW presented by COCA-COLA
University of Houston Men's and Women's Basketball fans are invited to join the gameday atmosphere at home games inside the Fertitta Center during the 2019-20 season by downloading the Cue Audio Live app to their phones.
The Cougars' pregame light show with Cue Light inside the Fertitta Center will be presented by Coca-Cola this season.
After fans download the app and open it at home games, the microphones on their phones will listen for a high-pitch sound, similar to a dog whistle, embedded within the team's introduction video. When the intro video begins, the app picks up the sound and synchronizes phones with the app to the light show.
To download the Cue Audio Live app, fans should visit the Apple App store or the Google Play store.
EXPANDED FOOD SERVICE OFFERINGS
Houston Basketball fans and guests will enjoy enhanced food and beverage services and options from the new concessions provider, Delaware North.
As part of our efforts in expanding our levels of customer service at UH events, guests in designated locations inside Fertitta Center will enjoy the option to receive in-seat wait service on selected concession items through our new partnership with sEATz.

NEW PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCER
John Paul Stevenson will serve as the team's public address announcer inside the Fertitta Center during the 2019-20 season.
Stevenson has previously worked for the Houston Rockets and the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA. He served as the PA announcer for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game and was named "Best Stadium Announcer" by the Houston Press in 2013 and 2015 in its "Best of Houston" series.
ON-COURT PROJECTION
For the second straight season, Houston fans will enjoy the Cougars' on-court projection during pregame and halftime activities.
The 60-second show features new scenes from the University of Houston campus and the city of Houston.
