HOUSTON – For the first time since 1998-99, the University of Houston Men's Basketball program has sold out of season tickets for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Fans who missed securing season tickets still have opportunities to see the Cougars inside the Fertitta Center this season, as single-game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Oct. 14.
Single-game tickets begin at only $25 and can be purchased at uhcougars.com/tickets or by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at 713-462-6647. With a limited number of single-game tickets available for each home game, fans are encouraged to buy their single-game tickets early before they sell out.
Fans who were unable to purchase season tickets can get a head start for the 2020-21 season by placing their names on the Priority Waiting List for only a $50 deposit. To reserve places on the Priority Waiting List, fans can register by clicking here and following the appropriate links from the right column, beginning at 10 a.m., Oct. 14.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Kelvin Sampson, the Cougars look to defend their American Athletic Conference regular-season championship with 16 regular-season home games inside the beautiful Fertitta Center this season. The campaign begins at 5 p.m., Nov. 9 with an exhibition game against Angelo State, a 7 p.m., regular-season opener against Alabama State on Nov. 12 and The American opener against UCF on Jan. 3, all inside the Fertitta Center.
Houston returns seven student-athletes and two starters from its 2018-19 squad, which posted a school-record 33 wins, advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and finished among the Top-12 leaders in both final national polls.
For his and his team's impressive performances, Sampson was named the American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the second straight season and was recognized as the Clarence "Big House" Gaines National Coach of the Year.
Last season, more than 100,000 fans poured into the Fertitta Center to help lead the Cougars to a 15-1 home record in their new $60-million home facility, including a nation's best 33 straight home wins dating back to the 2017-18 season at one point.
