The American Basketball Media Day Begins Monday

PHILADELPHIA – University of Houston Head Coach Kelvin Sampson and three student-athletes will represent the Cougars during the American Athletic Conference's annual Basketball Media Day on Monday morning in Philadelphia.
Sampson – who is the two-time defending American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year – will be joined by senior center Chris Harris Jr., junior guard and defending American Sixth Man of the Year DeJon Jarreau and sophomore guard and 2019 All-Freshmen Team member Nate Hinton.

Arriving in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon, the Cougars will take photos, speak on Sirius XM Radio and work with the American Digital Network.
On Monday morning, Media Day begins at 7 a.m. (CDT) with remarks from Commissioner Mike Aresco. The Preseason Coaches' Poll and Preseason Teams will be released at 7:15 a.m. (CDT).
Sampson joins Brian Gregory (USF), Ron Hunter (Tulane) and Gregg Marshall (Wichita State) during the Coaches' Roundtable.
Sampson and Jarreau will speak with American Digital Network hosts Hali Oughton and Mike O'Donnell on the Media Day Live Show at 9:20 a.m. (CST) Monday.

Single-game tickets for the University of Houston Men's Basketball program's 2019-20 season go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets soon before all are gone.
The Cougars have already sold out of 2019-20 season tickets, a first since 1998-99.
Fans still have opportunities to see the Cougars in action inside the Fertitta Center. Fans can purchase single-game tickets at the Houston Athletics Ticket Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and any time at uhcougars.com/tickets.
Fans who were unable to purchase season tickets can get a head start for the 2020-21 season by placing their names on the Priority Waiting List for only a $50 deposit. To reserve places on the Priority Waiting List, fans can register by clicking here and following the appropriate links from the right column, beginning at 10 a.m., Oct. 14.
The Cougars look to defend their American Athletic Conference regular-season championship with 16 regular-season home games inside the beautiful Fertitta Center this season. The campaign begins at 5 p.m., Nov. 9 with an exhibition game against Angelo State, a 7 p.m., regular-season opener against Alabama State on Nov. 12 and The American opener against UCF on Jan. 3, all inside the Fertitta Center.
